Same Day Intervention is an approach to maths teaching that aims to ensure that no child is left behind and is built on the ethos and culture that everyone can achieve.
The lesson is structured to allow teachers to check for understanding throughout the session, in order to provide appropriate, immediate intervention to address any misconceptions.

The aim is to use the additional support to ensure that all children reach a certain level of understanding by the end of the day, preventing an achievement gap from forming.
Same Day Intervention is used in conjunction with the Power Maths programme.
